Fitch (aka King Robin) talks about finding a ship and sailing around to look for the kraken, and indeed there's a royal warship in the harbour (formerly King Markadian V’s flagship“Darkest Fore the Dawn”).


However Sam suggests they just use scrying magic to find the thing, teleport straight to it when it's not expecting a fight, and murder it before it can finish saying Oh shit".


To that end Sam's organisation goes looking for someone who might have seen the kraken and survived.


The minions turn up one Captain Curtis O’farthing.

The artist then hurries off, followed by Fitch's exhortations to "Do great big pictures of everyone!

King Robin also listens carefully, sorry I meant is present, while Sam explains the various buffs they will use for their underwater adventure, then immediately runs out to get a potion of underwater breathing.


Sam is able to use this picture to help her zero in on the kraken using scrying magic.


The first day she tries this, the kraken appears to be moving at speed, so she declines to teleport everyone in as she'd rather drop Adelea right on top of a surprised enemy than give it time and space to react.


On the second attempt the kraken appears to be pottering about slowly.


Perhaps they could wait for the kraken to be asleep in its lair – but do krakens sleep?

Teuthia the kraken has moved slightly between scry, buff, and teleport, but only a little.


The party drops in almost on top of her, but she's a bit further away from Grumblejack and closer to Fitch than planned.
